About The Author

Portrait of Abhhinav Pratap, author and founder of GroomingPreneur.

Abhhinav Pratap

Parenting is one of the most rewarding yet challenging journeys, and raising boys in today’s world comes with unique responsibilities. Our sons are growing up in a time of rapid change—where technology, peer pressure, and shifting expectations shape them from an early age. Too often, boys are misunderstood. They’re told to “be strong” or “man up,” but rarely given safe spaces to express vulnerability, fear, or sensitivity.

This realization inspired me to write How to Raise Him. I wanted to create a guide that goes beyond discipline and behavior management, and instead focuses on the deeper emotional and psychological needs of boys. This book is about shaping character, guiding emotions, and raising men who know that true strength lies in empathy, respect, and responsibility.

I’ve spoken with countless parents who felt disconnected from their sons, unsure of how to bridge the silence. I’ve also seen how the smallest, most thoughtful conversations can transform a relationship. Sometimes just one honest question or one moment of listening is enough to replace conflict with connection.

How to Raise Him is my attempt to bring these lessons together into a practical, compassionate guide. My hope is that this book not only equips you with strategies but also shifts your perspective—helping you see your son for who he is today, and who he has the potential to become.

At its heart, this book is about more than parenting. It’s about raising the next generation of men—men who are strong yet kind, resilient yet empathetic, confident yet humble.

Raising a son is one of life’s greatest blessings—and one of its deepest responsibilities. Society often places heavy expectations on men: to be providers, leaders, achievers, and cornerstones of families and nations. But somewhere along the way, we risk forgetting that behind all those titles is a human heart that longs for love, balance, and purpose.
How To Raise Him is not just a parenting book. It’s a journey of reflection on what it truly means to raise boys into men of integrity, resilience, and compassion. This book challenges outdated definitions of manhood and offers a path toward nurturing well-rounded sons who can thrive not only in their careers, but also in their relationships, communities, and inner lives.
  • How to help your son balance ambition with emotional well-being

  • The dangers of raising boys to see themselves only as “providers”

  • Lessons in patience, humility, and empathy from real parenting journeys

  • How to guide boys toward values of respect, integrity, and courage

  • Practical strategies for modern parenting in a fast-paced, high-pressure world

We As  A Guardian Need To Learn

How To Raise Him is not merely about parenting boys—it is about shaping men. Men who are empathetic without weakness, strong without arrogance, and loving without condition. It is about teaching our sons that masculinity is not the absence of sensitivity, but the balance of it. This book is a guide for parents who want to nurture not just achievers, but human beings who understand connection, respect, and responsibility. Because the way we raise our boys today will define the kind of fathers, brothers, partners, and leaders they become tomorrow.
